Construction begins on new road connecting Newton Road to UI Health Care university campus

Construction of a new road connecting Newton Road to the University of Iowa Health Care university campus is underway. The south end of the road will extend between Hospital Parking Ramp 1 and the General Hospital pavilion, ending at the site of the current fountain entrance. Along Newton Road, a roundabout will be installed north of the Center for Disabilities and Development and west of the Hardin Library for Health Sciences.

The new Parking Lot 14 has reopened and is located north of Melrose Avenue just east of the previous lot. The new parking lot will help provide additional parking on the West Campus throughout the 10-year facilities master plan.

Campus Lost and Found, Fingerprinting Services move to first floor of UCC

Two frequently used Campus Safety services have moved to the first floor of UCC in an effort to make them more visible to the campus community. As of Monday, Nov. 6, both Lost and Found and Fingerprinting Services are being offered out of 139 UCC, located on the first floor in the suite next to Student Disability Services.
