Iowa's world-class wrestling facility to be named for Goschke family

The University of Iowa’s new home for wrestling has a new name. Pending Board of Regents, State of Iowa, approval at its meeting on Nov. 9–10, the University of Iowa will name its new world-class wrestling training facility in honor of Doug and Ann Goschke’s generous support.

UI Risk Management implements online vehicle accident reporting

Beginning Nov. 1, all vehicle incidents involving University of Iowa vehicles may be reported online in Employee Self Service or MyUI. UI Risk Management implemented the online Vehicle Accident Reporting to improve both the convenience and efficiency of auto claims. Paper forms will continue to be available in the glove compartment of university vehicles.

Connecting Campus: The iconic campus innovation co-founded by a business student turns 50

Today, CAMBUS runs 34 vehicles and gives more than 3 million rides a year on 14 routes that stretch as far as the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex and the Oakdale Research Park in Coralville. It employs 160 students who hold driving, training, dispatching, route planning, support, vehicle maintenance, and supervisor positions. Only 10 non-student employees work for CAMBUS.

To better serve the campus and assist with stolen bicycle recovery, the University of Iowa has partnered with Bike Index – a national registry of bicycles. The registry is a database that police departments and authorities can access to help identify and return bicycles to their owners.
