A message from the Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations and University Architect
Welcome to the heart of University of Iowa Finance and Operations!
In Finance and Operations, we stand as the cornerstone of the university campus, ensuring its financial health and managing a range of essential campus functions. This encompasses oversight of the university's financial strategy, campus facilities and grounds, risk management, parking and transportation, as well as many other vital business services.
With a dedicated team of over 1,000 employees, we play a pivotal role in fostering an environment conducive to excellence in education, research, and community engagement, dedicated to enhancing the overall campus experience.
In my dual role as University Architect, I encourage you to take a moment to enjoy our campus architecture, from the iconic limestone buildings of the Pentacrest, including the Old Capitol Building, to the sleek and contemporary designs of the Voxman Music Building and Visual Arts Building, the campus showcases a diverse range of architectural styles. Each structure tells a story of the university's rich history and commitment to academic excellence, while also embracing the latest in sustainable design and technology. Whether strolling through the tree-lined pathways or studying in one of the state-of-the-art facilities, students and visitors alike are immersed in an environment that seamlessly blends tradition with progress, making the UI campus a truly unique and inspiring place to learn and explore.
We look forward to supporting you throughout your journey at the University of Iowa.
