Removal of the University of Iowa’s Hawkins Drive water tower will begin July 10 and continue during weekends through the end of August. The work will affect nearby streets and sidewalks, but safe access to the UI Health Care University campus main entrance will be maintained.

The University of Iowa is seeking approval from the Iowa Board of Regents to move forward with plans to construct a new field hockey operations building adjacent to Grant Field and to proceed with planning renovations to Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
