The west side of campus will begin to visibly transform this spring as the University of Iowa starts to make space for a new adult inpatient tower.

The University of Iowa is seeking permission from the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, to move forward with several facilities projects that will improve student outcomes, create state-of-the art research space, and increase health care access for Iowans, including patients with the most complex cases.

The UI Police Department is expanding the use of camera technology on campus to strengthen its crime prevention efforts and enhance its ability to locate people who may be in danger.
