Susan Klatt is the assistant vice president, university secretary, and director of Treasury Operations and Financial Management. As assistant vice president, Klatt’s responsibilities include oversight of the university’s banking operations, investment activities, billing and collections, university ID card programs, and the university’s budget office. Klatt has been at the university since 1988. Prior to her current role, she spent 19 years in Facilities Management in multiple positions from administrative accountant to the director of Business and Financial Management. She served as the director of Financial Management and Budget in central administration for 12 years.    

Klatt played a key role in the university’s recovery from the flood of 2008 as a member of the recovery leadership team and as liaison to FEMA and the Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.   

Klatt received a BBA in accounting from Iowa State University and received an MBA from the University of Iowa.
