A $37 million renovation will restore the University of Iowa’s original Art Building and prepare it for new campus uses. The renovated space will house the Graduate College, the College of Education’s Art Education and Maker Space, the School of Planning and Public Affairs, and the Department of Religious Studies. The project will also add modern updates like elevator access, improved technology, open commons areas, and shared advising spaces while preserving the historic character of the building.
