Farrukh Bashir has been named associate vice president and director of Facilities Management at the University of Iowa. He will begin on Feb. 2.

Bashir joins the UI from the University of Minnesota, where he serves as assistant director of Facilities Management, providing operational leadership at a large, research-intensive university. He brings more than 20 years of experience across higher education and healthcare.
