Finance and Operations staff:
I very much encourage you to attend a Finance and Operations Division-Wide Meeting on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. (No RSVPs are needed.) I will speak at each session and highlight current issues impacting our division and the University including our budget status, updates on the Board of Regents TIER Efficiency Study Business Cases as well as several other timely and important topics. Richard Saunders will share information on our 2015 health/dental rates and changes in open enrollment for Merit and P&S staff, while Lon Moeller will talk briefly about the University’s role in increasing undergraduate enrollment and how that impacts staff. We will also hear from Rod Lehnertz and David Kieft on the major building projects on campus. Time will be available to respond to your questions.
There will be a morning session on Wednesday, October 15 from 10:00-11:00am in the 2nd Floor Ballroom (Room 243) of the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) and an evening session that same day from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Illinois Room (Room 348) of the IMU. Supervisors have been asked to arrange work schedules so that as many staff as possible may attend one of the sessions. No one is obligated to attend, but all members of the division staff are most welcome and encouraged to be there.
If you have ideas for other topics or questions you would like to have considered in advance, please send your thoughts/ideas via email to Suzanne Hilleman, Finance and Operations Senior Human Resources Representative (firstname.lastname@example.org) or to me in campus mail at 105 Jessup Hall before October 15.
I look forward to seeing you on the 15th. Thank you.
Senior Vice President and Treasurer, Finance and Operations
